Dell Computer’s restructuring continues. Michael Dell has hired some very successful operations type people and now he also wants a Chief Marketing Officer reporting directly to him. The fact that the marketing job has been open for 3 years says it all.
Dell still doesn’t care about offering a great value (Dell…Where’s the Beef?); it’s still only about price. They will "streamline" their operations, improve supply chain logistics and install a customer service center at a high school (where the students are very computer literate and don’t demand high pay).
Hey Michael, how about advertiser supported computers? Then you can give them away for free; as long as you let ads print out on all your letters and photos.
